  • Timber Options

    Wormy Chestnut

    A combination of three eucalypt species come under the Wormy Chestnut banner. Pieces are straw blonde to light brown in colour and are selected for their featured appearance, the result of years of wildfires, drought and insect attacks. Gum veins, pinholes and squiggly worm marks are all desired features that give this timber a rustic charm.

    Tasmanian Oak

    Tasmanian Oak is the cumulation of three Eucalyptus hardwoods grown and sourced in Tasmania. It is a light coloured, straight grain timber that includes minimal feature, making it the perfect understated timber to compliment any furniture design. Colours within the species range from straw to a light red brown.

    American White Oak

    Popular for its unique and coarse figure American Oak is overall quite light in colour with light to dark brown heartwood. The cellular appearance on the end grain makes it a popular choice when visible end grain is displayed through a particular design. Grown in America's eastern states and sourced from local specialist timber suppliers.

    American Black Walnut

    The naturally darkest and most desired timber we work with. Walnut has a light to dark chocolatey brown heartwood with creamy white sapwood and is super smooth in colour and tactility. It’s a pleasure to work with and a treat to dine on.

    Osmo Polyx® Oil

    The original Hardwax Oil is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is micro-porous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Good for the environment and good for you! Osmo accentuates the natural colour and grain of the timber, giving it a permanent "wet look". Osmo Raw counters this exaggeration of the wood's colour, leaving the surface looking as near to natural as possible. It is water-repellent and dirt-resistant. Resistant to wine, beer, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. Dirt can easily be removed without trace and renovating, even partially, is easy. Just clean and re-treat worn areas: No sanding, no repair marks and no removal of previous Osmo required.

    Osmo Polyx® Oil Raw

    OSMO's renowned Polyx®-Oil accentuates the natural colour and grain of the timber, giving it a permanent "wet look". The new Polyx®-Oil Raw counters this exaggeration of the wood's colour, leaving the surface looking as near to natural as possible. The finish is close to being invisible to the eye and retains as much of the wood's natural colour as possible.

Here’s a look at what we got up to in just 40 seconds:

〰️ Sampled new looks for Popeye and had some exciting chats about the future of the range with @fabrikate_creative_spaces.

〰️ Introduced new colour ways to the Las Palmas chair range.

〰️ Welcomed a number of interstate clients for a tour of the showroom and workshop before constructing, packaging and freighting their furniture to their new homes.

〰️ Developed a number of custom designs for our local clients looking to add a personalised furniture piece to their recently purchased, renovated or newly built homes. These designs included a chair, Canyon inspired liquor lounge and some unique dining tables.

〰️ Launched our new Makai outdoor dining table.

〰️ Restocked table favourites Sol and Hendrix to the showroom floor.

〰️ Started construction of our new showroom sample display alongside an epic Walnut commission.

Big thanks go out to each and every one of our clients for inviting our team and craftship into your homes.
It’s been 6 months of sharing monthly recaps and we’re honestly enjoying every minute of reliving the projects we get to help you with - such a lucky bunch.
