IN TIMBER WE CHAT with Gabrielle @studio.vous.au
Gabrielle’s work is shaped by listening to people, their stories, and the way they want to interact with their space.
With years of experience across hospitality and residential design, her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply personal.
This series is about hearing how different people think about materials, and Gabrielle brings a perspective grounded in connection and care.
Let us know what stood out to you.

-IN TIMBER WE CHAT-
Our 2026 series starts tomorrow.
A collection of conversations around the motto we live by
- In Timber we Trust - where we chat to industry experts and insiders about all things timber, timber furniture and timber in design.
What they love (and don’t love) and what brings them back to their love of timber.
We’ve had so much fun immersing ourselves in some of our favourite local creatives spaces for a chat and we’d love to know who you’d like to hear from this year.
Tag your favourites below.
We’ll take it from there.

The year that was - 2025 -
Not a year of shortcuts or quick wins.
A year of showing up, working things through, and doing the quiet, unglamorous parts properly.
This recap isn’t about finished pieces and highlights. It’s a review of the processes behind them. The hours in the workshop, the problem-solving, the collaboration, and the people who make the work what it is.
2025 asked a lot of us, but it also reinforced what matters most: good work, done with care, alongside people who value the same things.
We’re incredibly grateful for our community of designers and clients who trust the process and stand behind what we do. Your support carries more weight than you realise.
Here’s to the work behind the scenes, the lessons learned, and looking forward to what comes next.
